Vintage at the Tower was established in 2013, taking its name from Corbridge’s historic Pele Tower. Partners ‘Albert and the Lion’ and ‘WoollyMamma’, specialise in finding and restoring high quality one- off, nostalgic items dating from the Victorian and Edwardian eras through the decadent 20’s and 30’s to the make do and mend war years, to the glamorous 50’s and the groovy 60’s.
We have a vast range, everything for the home and garden, from small pieces of furniture, vintage kitchenalia and lighting to beautiful costume jewellery and vintage clothing for both men and women. We travel all over the North East of England to find unusual and quirky items, most of which were made in Britain from high quality materials at the height of the Empire’s great manufacturing era. Many items have been restored or upcycled by our team of talented local artisans and craftspeople. We also have a vintage haberdashery, selling buttons, threads and lace as well as locally produced Alpaca yarn and knitwear and sell locally grown plants and fresh free range eggs.
Stock changes practically on a daily basis so you never know what treasure you will find in this ‘Aladdins’ cave’. So if it’s a glass cake stand or teacups for a summer wedding, a mixing bowl, a galvanised watering can or a unique outfit for a special occasion that you’re searching for, come and take a stoll down memory lane.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
