Exhibition to celebrate the Corbridge Village Trust’s golden jubilee (1965-2015). Including the history of shops and businesses, Sporting Corbridge past and present, the army in Corbridge, and slide shows with over 120 photographs of the village.
The main highlights are two looped power point presentations of old photos of the village and a detailed history of all the shops and commercial premises, together with their owners and dates, from 1900 to the present day. Also on show will be photos of Corbridge in 1965 (when the Village Trust was founded), its sporting teams and military together with a history of its water supply, the Roman Bridge, Staghshaw Bank Fair and Bishop’s Garage.
