Forum Books Presents Lindsay McCrae

Venue: Forum Books, The Chapel, Market Place, Corbridge, NE45 5AW

“A dramatic saga forged by passion, honesty and a rare skill as a naturalist and film-maker… Turn off the heating, put on your gloves and head deep south into a frozen land of dreams and nightmares.” Chris Packham

We are beyond excited to host a truly extraordinary event with award-winning cameraman Lindsay McCrae as he takes us on an adventure to the end of the Earth in his new book, My Penguin Year.

Whilst living alongside the most resilient creatures in nature, My Penguin Year documents a life-long passion for wildlife filmmaking. Lindsay shares not only his experiences in capturing the monumental footage that enthralled millions in the hit BBC documentary Dynasties, but also the harsh realities of spending hours in the freezing outdoors, unimaginable arctic conditions, and the personal obstacles of being over 15,000km from the safety of home.

Including stunning images taken from the trip, as well as ground-breaking never-before-seen discoveries, My Penguin Life is an unprecedented portrait of Antarctica’s most magnificent residents and the extraordinary story of the man that sits behind the camera.

We hope you will join us, and Lindsay, at Forum Books, Corbridge, on Wednesday 23 October. Doors will be open from 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets £5, which includes a welcome drink on arrival.

As well as a chance to purchase the book and have it signed by Lindsay, we will also be showing an exclusive presentation of some of the beautiful photographs taken on the trip.

Ticket bookings are available now from Forum Books, on 01434 632931, or via our Ticket Source website HERE.

See you soon!
