Forum Books Presents Jonathan Coe

Venue: The Chapel, Market Place, Corbridge, NE45 5AW

From the man who skewered Thatcherism in What a Carve Up! comes a novel that leads us along the sorry road from post-industrial Birmingham to the London riots and the current political gridlock of Brexit.

Jonathan Coe’s newest novel Middle England runs from 2010 to the present and examines a divided country through characters from his earlier novels The Rotters’ Club and The Closed Circle. Funny, devastating, and with a brilliantly vivid cast of characters, Middle England is a story of nostalgia and bewilderment, and is the novel for our strange new times.

We hope you will join us, and Jonathan, Wednesday 14th November at The Chapel, Corbridge, doors will be open from 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Tickets are available now at £10 which includes a drink on arrival as well as £5 off the new book.
