WILLIAM BYRD: MASS for FOUR VOICES GABRIEL Fauré: REQUIEM
From conductor Glenn Davis comes ‘A Performance of Two Halves’, a night of live music showcasing the work of two world renowned composers, William Byrd and Gabriel Fauré. With the support of an invited ensemble, as well as the ‘Voices for Tynedale’ choir, returning for their seventh concert in aid of Tynedale Hospice at Home.
The event will focus on two great, but very different, examples of sacred music: the Four-part Mass by William Byrd and, in the centenary year of his death, the Requiem of Gabriel Fauré.
Join Glenn in supporting Tynedale Hospice at Home on October 19th, providing an immersive musical experience with both works preceded by shorter items from their own respective periods, including motets by Tallis, Robert Parsons, and Saint-Saëns.
