The Wheatsheaf Hotel in Corbridge has embarked on a new era.
First listed as an inn in 1827, the pub, restaurant and hotel in Watling Street is one of our historic village landmarks.
New owners GlassHouse Leisure – itself owned by Mark and Kelly Nigrelli – already run Glass House in Newcastle’s Dean Street, Glass House Cramlington and the Union Rooms in Newcastle.
With The Wheatsheaf now added to that list under manager Adam Mcmillan and a local team working in the bar and kitchen.
All of the food on a new menu is home made and overlooked by an executive chef.
A spokesperson for The Wheatsheaf said: “We are currently running different events including steak nights and quiz nights with afternoon tea to be introduced later this year.
“We also want to give a little back to the area so if anybody is looking to hold a charity night we would be delighted to hear from them.”
