Forum Books Celebrates Picador Poetry

Date: Tuesday 14th November 7pm

Venue: The Vicar's Pele, Market Place, Corbridge, Northumberland

Picador Poetry is twenty years old, and to celebrate we are thrilled – actually, beyond thrilled, pinching ourselves – to be joined by five of their finest poets – Jacob Polley, Kathleen Jamie, Colette Bryce, Katharine Towers and Sean O’Brien.

“Poetry is a distinct pleasure, and unlike any other art form. It requires no special knowledge to enjoy it, just the patience to tune to its unique way of doing things; and once you’ve dialed into its wavelength, I can promise you’ll never want to go without it again – and nor will the world ever look quite the same.” – Don Paterson, Picador Poetry Editor, 2017.

Join us for an incredible & unique evening celebrating poetry on Tuesday 14th November, 7pm at The Pele, Corbridge – tickets are the usual £5, which will be a £5 voucher off any of the poets’ books. The bar will be open for the Pele Ale, beer, gins, fizz etc..

If you can’t wait until the event, click here for a selection of poems by classic and contemporary poets celebrating the changing seasons and the arrival of Autumn, and for ten good reasons we love Picador Poetry!

For all ticket bookings call us on 01434 632931 or pop into Forum Books, 8 Market Place, Corbridge, NE45 5AW

We look forward to seeing you soon!
