Corbridge Christmas Lights Appeal

By: Ian Wylie | September 6, 2017

Your very own Visit Corbridge is one of three local good causes chosen for the Waitrose Hexham branch Community Matters scheme for September.

The funding received will go towards extending the Christmas lights to cover the centre of Corbridge.

So if you shop at Waitrose, please consider dropping your green token into the Visit Corbridge box after the checkouts.

On display at Waitrose Hexham:

“The main aim of Visit Corbridge is to promote co-operation between businesses and residents in the area in order to both enhance the trading and the physical environment in Corbridge; to promote good neighbourliness and engender community spirit and appreciation of the Conservation Area. This is for the mutual benefit of the members of the Association, the businesses that operate there, the residents who live there and the individuals that use the services in that area.

We organise social, cultural and promotional events in Corbridge including the well established popular Late Night Shopping in December with stalls, street food and music.

The funding from Community Matters is requested to go towards extending the provision of Christmas lights to cover the centre of Corbridge.”
